By default, iReboot launches at Windows startup. You know iReboot is running because you’ll see an icon in the system tray, an icon that looks like a policeman’s cap. Right click said icon and iReboot will display all the operating systems installed on your machine. From this right click context menu you can choose the operating system (OS) you want to reboot into.

Download an installer, run it, and then go through the instructions presented onscreen by a setup wizard. These are the steps you must go through to install iReboot on your computer. It is worth noting that during the installation process the setup wizard allows you to choose if you want iReboot to automatically launch at startup or not.

While it is up and running, iReboot displays an icon in the system tray – an icon that looks like a policeman’s cap. If you right click said icon, you will be presented with a context menu that lists the following: reboot on selection; a list of all your operating systems; help; get EasyBCD; exit.

To reboot into a different OS, you have to go through the following steps: instruct your PC to restart; wait for your PC to shut down; during the reboot process, wait for BIOS to post; pick the OS you want to boot into; wait for the OS to boot up. Instead of going through all these steps, you can simply right click iReboot’s system tray icon and pick the OS you want to reboot into.

iReboot is free for non-commercial use.

If you installed multiple operating systems on your machine and you want to easily boot into the OS of your choice, then you definitely need to give iReboot a try.

Pros

During the installation process you can choose if you want iReboot to automatically launch at startup or not. iReboot silently sits in the system tray. Right click the iReboot system tray icon and select the OS you want to reboot into. iReboot is free for non-commercial use.

Cons

None that I could think of.
